Language appreciation comes with culture, unless you’re a fanatic linguist. For kids, pop culture can add some spice, meaning and encouragement to language learning, especially when you start noticing boredom and adversity toward the language. Just be aware that it is not a serious misalignment in your value system because content in whatever language feeds the soul.
